Argentina

Two years of STINT in Argentina have been, by far, the best two years of my life.  Here I have been forced to grow in humility as day after day I have learned how to depend on God more and more.  I have matured personally and spiritually in ways that would have been impossible if I had stayed in the states.  I am convinced, now more than ever, that there is no greater joy in this life than to walk in obedience to the Lord and His call to Love Him and Love others by living out the Gospel of Christ and sharing it with others."

Close to 100,000 college students live in La Plata and almost 900,000 students are in the city of Buenos Aires…that’s about as many students in our whole MidSouth region! As a very strategic place for influencing leaders of South America, we are excited about how God may choose to use us in Argentina! Our partnership is helping to build a strong national ministry in Argentina on the university campuses there that will hopefully send Argentine students throughout their own country around the world.

The university students of Argentina are extremely relational. Much time is spent cultivating relationships and building friendships to open doors to the gospel. 92% of all students are raised Catholic, but very few are practicing. As a result many students "believe" in God, they know of Him, but most have not heard about a relationship with Him

On a Summer Project or STINT team, you will be a part of reaching these students. We are asking STINT teams going to Argentina for a 14-month commitment because of the university schedule. Working Spanish is recommended but not required.

Partner Campuses:
Charlotte Metro, University of Louisville, Marshall, SC Low Country, NC State, Vanderbilt, Clemson, WKU

Stage of Ministry:
Began Summer 1999. Currently the team consists of STINT, ICS, and National Staff!
