Dominican Republic

Two years of STINT in Latin America have been, by far, the best two years of my life.  Here I have been forced to grow in humility as day after day I have learned how to depend on God more and more.  I have matured personally and spiritually in ways that would have been impossible if I had stayed in the states.  I am convinced, now more than ever, that there is no greater joy in this life than to walk in obedience to the Lord and His call to Love Him and Love others by living out the Gospel of Christ and sharing it with others."

Come with us to reach out to a university of 120,000 students who are very receptive to the Gospel. Our goal is to launch movements in various relational pockets on campus as well as train and disciple the Christian Dominican students. There is currently 2 full-time staff members working at the country's largest and only public university and the ministry needs our help. The Dominican students respond well to Cru tools such as the Knowing God Personally booklet because it shows how we can have a personal relationship with God instead of lifeless religion. So come with us to see more students be won, built and sent to reach their country for Christ! In the process you will learn greater skills in personal evangelism (especially with friends) and discipleship of new believers to take back to your campus in the United States.

The university students of Dominican Republic are extremely relational. Much time is spent cultivating relationships and building friendships to open doors to the gospel. Most students are raised Catholic, but very few are practicing. As a result many students "believe" in God, they know of Him, but most have not heard about a relationship with Him

On a Summer Project or STINT team, you will be a part of reaching these students. We are asking STINT teams going to Dominican Republic for a 14-month commitment because of the university schedule. Working Spanish is recommended but not required.

The Summer Missions team will also travel to the country of Panama for the Solo Uno Student Conference (July 28-August 3, 2015) with Dominican students involved in Cru (Vidi Estudiantil). The Solo Uno Student Conference will bring together over 3000 students from Latin America & the Caribbean representing more than 25 countries. Click here for more info!
